Q: How do customers know what your images will look like on their home or office wall? A: Set up "display images" in your Print Shop showing your artwork in different settings. Q: Print Shop makes setting up display images easy, but how to create the images themselves? A: Stock Images are a great way to encourage sales by showing potential customers your images on display. This weeks 'Share of the Week' goes to New Zealander Amanda King, who shared her Queensberry Fine Art Prints, featured in her first solo By The Horns exhibition, on Facebook . Thanks for sharing, Amanda. There’s a wee thank you on its way to you. Amanda King's striking photographs went on display last week at The Woolshed in Darfield, New Zealand. "It was a fantastic night, and The Woolshed Gallery was very fitting for the occasion! The exhibition showcased my rural animal prints and I was selling framed prints on the night. Pagemount vs Overlay We offer a few types of matted album — Overlay Matted, Duo and Musée —and one of the important differences between them is whether the prints are mounted Overlay or Pagemount style. So what's the difference? Overlay: Industry-wide, almost all matted albums are overlay mounted, so overlays may not be new to you. Details may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but the photographs are attached behind the mat, which covers and conceals the edge of the prints. You can see this clearly in the first photograph. To View More >>

A few clients have told us that they prefer to export their own printing files (page layouts) in Photojunction, but the "Export" button seems to have disappeared. So what have we done with it? Whether the Export button appears or not is dependent on whether you or we (Queensberry) are to do the exporting, and that depends on the option you choose in the Service dropdown menu during album set up. Looking at the screenshot, if you choose Print and Assemble you'll need to do the export - ie create the PSD layouts and, if need be, edit the files before you upload them to us. If you chose Export, Print To View More >>

I was invited to join the NZ Government's Better by Design US Study Tour 2012, a four day tour of the San Francisco Bay Area where "up to 25 New Zealand business leaders are exposed to best practice examples of international design thinking". The tour began officially last night over dinner at the Town Hall Restaurant, but mine began a week ago when Ian and I arrived in SF for some much-needed down time. Relax, re-energise, and No Work was our mantra. But paradoxically, when we're travelling or on holiday my brain goes into overdrive. Thinking about ethics and aesthetics, ideology and human behaviour, To View More >>

Forums are about community... Sharing ideas, asking questions, providing feedback. We've just integrated our forums with our Queensberry and Photojunction Facebook pages to harness the power of one of the largest online communities in the world. On both pages, if you want to ask a question go to the 'Discussions' tab (highlighted in the graphic). If you want to offer feedback (or give someone else's idea a boost) go to the 'Feedback' tab. As well as these we're starting work on building a more user-friendly knowledge base. Look forward to hanging out with you more on Facebook :) Cheers, Nigel To View More >>

We regret to say the fibre connection to our print lab has just been cut. As a consequence our FTP upload service has been disrupted and you will not be able to upload orders from Photojunction until it is repaired. Our lab team is also out of email and phone contact. Our Bindery staff are still able to communicate and Workspace is operating normally. We are moving staff between sites so that we can get tech support back up and running within an hour or so. We are working on this urgently and will advise when we know how long the repair will take, but we expect it to be a matter of several hours. To View More >>

We're constantly reinventing Queensberry to make things better, simpler, faster and more creative. In the mid-1990s we threw away the rule book and started making our albums to order. Computer-driven mat-cutters meant our clients could design books to suit their photography, rather than making their photographs fit the books. It had never been done before. In 2000 we cut out the middle-man and began developing the world’s only worldwide door-to-door service to professional photographers. In 2001 we released Photojunction. In 2003 we were pioneers in the album printing business. (We’re still To View More >>

We have noticed that some areas of Photojunction are experiencing speed issues with the new Mountain Lion (Mac OSX 10.8) upgrade. We have located a design issue where opening images in the layout tab is slow to load. We are currently working to adjust the program with new installers to fix this problem. If you come across any further problems of this nature please email us at info@queensberry.com and let us know. We will let you know when this issue is resolved. Edit: This issue has now been resolved. Thank you for your patience. Cheers, Amanda To View More >>
